Zurina

Like the creator of her species, Zurina can see the future, but this power had come at the price of her actual vision. She had been born blind, and this power had come when her father had stumbled upon a "pretty shell" when Wandering near the Sea of a Thousand Currents and brought it home to his only daughters at the time. When Zurina touched it, the power from one of the Tidelord's scales granted her "sight." Her power had only manifested when her twin Mint had explored too close to the cliffs of the Sundial Terrace. Seconds before a portion of the cliff crumbled, Zurina "lived" the vision of a dragonlet that she could smell was Mint suddenly disappearing and screamed for her sister, snapping her out of the vision and back into darkness. Upon hearing her sister's scream, Mint had bounded back, just in time to hear the ledge crumble behind her.

It wasn't long until the clan could tell Zurina's visions would come true, especially when dragons chose not to heed her warnings. As she matured, her power also grew, and she became able to glimpse the future at will. Serious premonitions come earlier, and always about some major event like death or a natural disaster or a newcomer to the clan, etc. She also sometimes gives her father vague wandering directions when the Wanderers leave.

Her markings were tattooed on her as a rite of passage by Natasha when she realized why she never felt the urge to Search; her Charge was her trouble-making sister.

She is a Protector.
