A wanderer of Driftwood Drag, Malumo considers himself quite different from the standards of his breed. Instead of traveling about with temporary clan members, enjoying "the thrill of the hunt" like most Mirror dragons do, he instead has a desire to peacefully settle down. However, it is not so easy to ignore the instinct of the species. Malumo often finds himself reverting back to the savage nature of a standard Mirror at the worst of times, accidentally alienating those around him and landing himself in some pretty tense situations. However, he does his best to change his behavior for the better.
Malumo first encountered Aninoa during the excavation of her lair. He found himself smitten by her self-assurance, a great contrast to his own uncertainty. Despite his insecurities about the conflict between his instincts and his personality, he did his best in winning her heart. One could imagine his joy when he succeeded. He looks forward to his future fatherly duties when his two eggs will hatch.
Of course, fatherly duties are not new to him. Like any Mirror dragon, he has a strong pack instinct, and supports Aninoa in her quest to provide a home any and all. This led to quite a few more "children" than he would have expected. However, he is determined to care for all his new family members. He is quite fond of his adopted hatchlings and enjoys chatting with the older dragons in their clan.
After a while, a Red-Breasted Hainu caught his eye. She was stuck in the silt of the river delta, the weight of the water dragging down her wings. He decided to take her in and named her Eclisi. He enjoys her cheeriness and is fairly amused at how much she teases Aninoa's familiar, Rishii.
His actions may not always reflect what's in his heart, but Malumo's honesty is apparent. Hard on himself, but kind to others, he works hard to shake off the savage nature of his kind on his way to be a better dragon.
