Bertie

Bertie has an undeniable sweet tooth. He eats way too much snack food, but he's always flying around in frenzied circles, so he burns off all the calories. He also has a few eclectic food preferences that, unfortunately, none of his clanmates seem to share. But that's okay-- more for him.

Bertie likes hearing stories about the Windsinger, although his knowledge of the topic is scattered, incomplete, and confused because his dad, Nimbus, keeps telling Windsinger stories that never actually happened. Laika, Bertie's mom, doesn't see anything wrong with it (as a Lightning Flight native, she's partial to the Stormcatcher, anyway), but Swift gets very irritated about it. "Nimbus, for Cloudsong's sake! Stop making things up! You're confusing the boy!"

"There's no harm in it! I bet Windpappy would like that story!"

"Stop calling him that! He's going to blow you right out of the sky one day!"

"Sure. That is, IF he ever comes back from the Observatory."

Swift has warned Bertie over and over again not to follow his dad's bad example. Bertie isn't so sure about it. If he were the Windsinger, he doesn't think he would mind being called "Windpappy" and "Noodledad."
