Ctirad

Ctirad is naturally a lazy person and his inclination is to do as little work as possible. As a hatchling and youngster, he was able to get away with this, spending his days sleeping, watching the clouds, or playing games. His goal was to live unremarkably, free of anything tiring, and without any responsibility. Whenever he was faced with conflict or something troublesome, Ctirad first looked at it with annoyed eyes and then tried to find some way out of it: either by pretending to have never noticed, or even outright saying that he doesn't want to do whatever it is.

His father Chrysopoein was one who went outside of the boundaries of his born to lands, wandering to other clans, to learn and to teach. Even his mother Alkali wandered the lands in search of a better place. So they actuated their son to not trifle away his time strapped to only one place. And one day, whether he like it or not, Ctirad had to leave the Veridian Labyrinth to look for a place of his own.

After wandering around for some time, visiting different lairs, getting to know all kind of ideals, thoughts and dragons; the young Pearlcatcher settled down with an easy-going looking Clan located in the Windswept Plateau - the Clan of Àidhear.

Although Ctirad describes himself as "the number one idler", he has a strong moral compass and is very dedicated to his friends. These qualities among others earned him Étaín's interest and a place among her young Ambassadors in training. This forced Ctirad to move away from his laziness and confronted him within a group of promising young dragons, working towards a quite ambitious position.

After the young Pearlcatcher started his training, Fiendark noticed that Ctirad was much sharper than they anticipated. The Clans strategist discovered that the young dragon was just being too lazy to do well in the Ambassador-exams and tests, as they did not spark his interest for long. Thinking about it, the strategist started pushing Ctirad to use his intellect by testing and training it with all kinds of strategic exercises and games. And soon the young dragons showed how acutely aware he was of his own and others' limitations, something that would allow him to avoid surprise and unnecessary risk in his future position. The two of them became close friends, enjoying their intellectual exchanges of ideas and strategies.

So he was given the responsibility of representing his new family back at his birth-flight or in collaboration with the other Ambassadors in their positions. For his Clan, friends and family, he is willing to do everything that he can to keep them safe.

He still clings to his lazy origins as much as he can; even if he can't spend his entire day being idle, he at least avoids having long-term goals or having any particular plans he has to work for. He may still grumble about all the work he has to do, but he no longer runs from it, even going so far as to embrace difficult circumstances--from time to time.
