Not much is known about who Ghoul was before he died. It seems that he met an unfortunate, accidental demise via poisoning intended for a different target. However, Ghoul is not a restless spirit, and is actually quite playful and fun-loving. He seems to have no immediate desire to move on to the spirit world, despite the goadings of the clan's resident psychopomp, Vanth.
