.. Blue-furred tundras aren't an uncommon sight in the Ashfall Waste, where, paradoxically, they've come to symbolize the ambition and promise of the Fire Flight. Their lineage carries myriad traditions honoring the Flamecaller, regarded as a mother-figure who grants purpose in life, and they're known for inviting dragons to share in these traditions and learn the same love and gratitude they feel for the fire god. The practices preserved and performed by these tundras are known generally as "Bluecoat work", and are widely respected and valued in the Fire Flight even where individual clans' traditions and beliefs may differ.

Lavapool and Fireball travel and work together, performing rites and helping to establish places of worship in the Ashfall Waste. Lavapool's specialty is object enchantments, and he often works with craftsdragons to create protective amulets and consecrated structures. He's also a reasonably skilled silversmith in his own right.

A charismatic dragon, but his outward character rarely reflects his real feelings. He enjoys his object enchantment work because people focus on the quality of his work and not on him; he's fearful of rejection, but it's easier to weather disapproval when it's only directed at a piece of metal.
