Bishop may have red eyes, but she feels Arcane all the way to the bone. Those familiar with her innate magic skill, love for all things Arcane, and obsessive personality may agree that, yes, her patron deity probably is, in fact, the Arcanist. Bishop takes that as a compliment. Actually Arcane dragons may disagree.

It's not as that Bishop's, ah, affinity for Arcane is disrespectful. She's just a bit overenthusiastic about the whole thing -- that, and she likes the colour pink more than one with her complexion ought to. She drapes herself in homemade "acuity shawls" strung with chips of rose quartz, which Bishop maintains help her focus her innate thaumaturgical abilities.

The scientific data on that claim is spotty at best and doubtful at worst. What isn't to be doubted is that Bishop can sling spells with great proficiency. Most of her skills are defensive in nature -- barriers, traps, wards, and the like. Those sensitive to magic can usually tell where Bishop's been staying: they describe any place Bishop holes up in as strewn with strands of protective spells like great big glittery spiderwebs.
