Being a powerful CryMage, Oriole has tremendous magical powers that changed when he became a permanent member of a water flight clan. His strange powers have merged with the ones of his new clan and he can now see everything. He sees the past, the present and the future...at the same time.

Which is why it is so hard for him to plan ahead for his life. He hides the painful truth behind a constant smile and mischievous personality. He likes people and he's a very social dragon, but he seldom reveals anything about himself, keeping most of what he does see for himself, for the world is constantly changing, every action having its weight, every word it's consequences.

There is simply too much to process at once, too many deaths to see, too many births to take account of. With such a gift - or curse if you prefer -, he finds beauty in the ephemeral things like flowers, books and art. They are things that accurately represent what he knows of existence and things he truly appreciates.

Even though he likes others, he considers himself agender, believing he is but a vessel to his prophecies and to his knowledge.

There is more to Oriole than meets the eye. Sometimes mischievous, sometimes pensive, he has a depth and and insight that is too often taken lightly. Very few members of the clan take the time to actually listen to what he has to say because most of them assume his words to be random rambling - and sometimes they are- but for anyone who dares listen, there is truth hidden between the lines.

His living area is on the island part of the territory. It is a small clearing in the center of which stands a sacred cherry tree, its beautiful flowers blooming magically all year long. The delicate petals fall gently on the grass and the soft breeze sings of secrets long forgotten. It is a mysterious place for a mysterious dragon, but also has a serene atmosphere.

When he came to the lair, he had been paid to come live with the rest of the clan. He was a Crymage, a very special Arcane dragon that had quite the expectations hanging above his head in his previous clan. He was however greeted with compassion and respect in his new home and the people there expected nothing from him. They were simply glad to see a new face.

Soon after his arrival, a female of similar coloring joined the clan as well. She was found in the auction house for a ridiculously low price and was quite fearful. Ironically, she was named Fate and avoided being exalted like she feared she would be. It didn't take long for Oriole to start teasing her.

After teasing Fate for months and months, the two of them began to grow close in a strange way. She enjoyed his company and guided him when his vision blurred past present and future into a mishmash of indescribable possibilities. Where he didn't really see himself as an individual, she's always seen him as someone dear.

After getting acquainted with Clive, who shares a vegetarian diet, Oriole turned his attention to Gaius, the clan leader. Without being really mean or creepy, he tends to lurk around the gigantic leader, who is having a hard time trying to ignore the very much pink imperial that keeps his presence known.

After a while, the magenta male had a discussion with Gaius. There was jealousy in the clan, there was someone planning to have him exalted and even though he did not see himself like much more than a vessel for his visions, Oriole feared he would simply vanish. To his surprise, his king sincerely reassured him that he would protect him. Even though there were a lot of different visions of him and different versions of his speech in the oracle's mind, most of them had the same meaning. His king was there for his people and that was the core of his being, something that could not be changed.

Once the Crymage calmed down, he expressed the desire to become more than a simple wall flower, more than a trophy wearing expensive items. The clan leader agreed and started giving him simple tasks to perform, starting with things that did not involve too much speed or sight.
