Biography
A gentle giant. He keeps a close record on the new creatures and plant life growing on the island. He also forages for food. His current occupation entails establishing a stable system of farming in the rich volcanic soil. Previously a resident of the Windsinger's domain and Juliette's clan, Berthlemas now spends his time extensively studying the differences between the two regions' flora to better understand how to cultivate them and what their growth patterns are.
He is sociable, kind, and gets along with pretty much everyone. But don't let his gentle demeanor fool you into thinking he is weak; while he's not a fighter, Berthlemas can and will put his foot down when he needs to. If growing up in Nature taught him anything, it was that one needs to be able to assert themselves to survive, as do all living things. There's just different kinds of strength beyond the physical.
Berthlemas has many qualities of a good leader in this way, which makes him particularly favorable and reliable to Eranth. The two speak often and mutually benefit from each other's wisdom. He is also very good friends with Elthaira, Undine, Arthyl, Koakoft, and Ash.
He also enjoys looking after hatchlings in his spare time.
