Serran is like the rock the refuge is built in; strong, reliabe, steadfast and sometimes very stubborn. As captain of the guards in the refuge, he is the top authority when it comes to law and order within the walls of the refuge. Keeping the peace among the guards and hired mercenaries as well as the many visitors is the largest part of his job but he also keeps track of the smiths and diggers who expands the tunnels of the refuge.

Due to Serrans more quiet, serius and somewhat gruff personality, he is more a dragon to incite respect or authority before warmth and friendship in other dragons and thus he has few friends he truly trusts in his life. This is not equal to Serran not wishing the company of others, he is very protective of those whoes company he enjoys. Especially the crafty field medic, Maleea is often a subject of his silent company.

He is a dragon who talks very little of his personal life and enjoyments, and seems completly dedicated to his work, however Serrans tactical and orderly mind often enjoys certain boardgames like chess and will sometimes challenge those he takes a shine to. This form of gesture can be seen as a sign of friendship from him.
