before coming to the ridge, valka worked on a trading ship as a translator, following in her father's footsteps. however, she soon came to realise that honesty would only take her so far. the coatl became a bandit and now she, along with kaiku and kero, performs daring heists on unsuspecting companies in the wastelands and sells the goods to the highest bidder in the dustdevil den. valka's carefree personality borders nihilism, and her impatience and foul mouth often make her come off as unemphatic and purposefully rude. behind the lack of social skills is, however, a very smart mind and a tongue built for sweet-talking unsuspecting victims into doing whatever she wants.
