Biography
Inside one of the many nests of Kairin clan's current lair site, Hallyn pulled out the family chest of Night of the Nocturne decorations and swiped a claw through the dust it had gathered. With a sigh, Hallyn pushed open the chest and peeked inside.
Hallyn remembered every single one of the family's ornaments. He could tell a story about each plastic nocturne egg and every bear-shaped candle-holder. He picked up a decoration at random and squinted around the nest, devising his plan of attack.
Hallyn's parents and younger brother, all important members of the clan, have been coming home late more often than not for as long as he could remember. He had a younger sister too, but she had found a mate to share a nest with long ago. The job of upholding family holiday traditions fell to Hallyn. He smiled to himself as he hung up festive silks. Watching the reactions of his parents as they came home, tired from a stressful day, to a decorated nest, looking around and admiring every detail Hallyn had thought of, was their own private holiday tradition. It was one Hallyn looked forward to every year.
