Vera
Child prodigy, perfectionist, Ice representative

Vera is definitely a representative: she is very accurate with her work, makes sure that dialogues and exchanges with other clans go smoothly, welcomes new Ice dragons in the lair in person, attends meetings with the other representatives and confronts her ideas and proposals with theirs, frequently makes sure that the Ice dragons in the lair are feeling at ease and seen. She is definitely skilled and meticulous in her role: that's something that any dragon would be ready to confirm regardless of their inborn element.
What dragons don't know, in fact, is what else is Vera. She is only ever seen taking care of her job as a representative, talking about her duties and schedule for the day, and whenever she asks information about other dragons it's usually related to her role in some capacity. Many dragons who tried to befriend her in the past gave up quickly upon realizing that all her sentences were meticulously crafted to revolve around work and Clan matters, and rarely anything else. When they try to introduce a different topic, Vera coldly asks "how does this concern the Clan or my role as Ice representative in any way?". Depending on her mood, she might even stop talking to that dragon altogether and go to take care of other things.
Vera would never define herself as an ambitious dragon, and yet her projects for the clan become more and more ambitious over time: creating powerful connections with other clans in the Southern Icefield and creating a good environment for the Ice dragons in the lair are all things she is very passionate about. When there's no official duty for Vera to handle at any moment, she is ready to create one for herself.
Those few dragons who know Vera on a closer and more personal level are also aware of how she is when it comes to everything else: something close to a disaster. She has never been good at gathering food, and while her combat skills might have been pretty good in the past, they have dulled nowadays. She also isn't good at creating meaningful bonds with familiars, unless they share an elemental affinity with her. Vera herself firmly believes that she would amount to nothing if she wasn't a representative, and often times feels like an imposter who was given a role she doesn't truly deserve.
The one and only thing Vera is passionate about other than work is her collection of elemental artifacts, particularly elemental currencies and festival items. She hid everything in a secret nook in her lair and never gives away her interest in it, in fear of looking like she's not working hard enough - not that anyone in the lair would ever think that.

When comparing her childhood to other dragons' in the present, Vera is often regarded as a gifted child: she got in tune with her element very soon and immediately started training to join the Dominance fight along with the Icewarden.
What Vera remembers, however, is that she was her parents' biggest disappointment. Her two older brothers were a lot more talented and dedicated than she was (or at least that's how they were in her eyes), with more powerful Ice magic, much faster at learning, and also kept in higher regard by their parents and everyone around them.
While Vera never really had an actual conversation about this with her parents, she always felt like her achievements were constantly being compared to those of her older siblings. She never stopped working hard, but she also had the constant impression that nothing she did would ever be worthy of recognition from her family.
When the time came for Vera to leave her Clan to find a new home, she still hadn't grown out of the discipline her parents taught her. She always held herself to standards barely above her reach - "to motivate herself", as she was used to believe. Joining the Dream Seekers during the Quadrumviratum and quickly becoming an Ice representative for the Clan wasn't a hard task for her, and even getting by under the strict leadership was not a challenge: Vera was used to both harsh environments and harsh rulers, after all. For this same reason she never really felt the crisis in the same way as the other dragons did.
When Fereneel became the new, sole leader of the Clan, things started to change for Vera. She wasn't in charge alone anymore: other representatives of different Flights were at her side and she wasn't supposed to work alone anymore. The atmosphere was also gentle like never before (and hotter as the clan moved to the Ashfall Waste), and Vera slowly realized that there was need for a change - whether it was the Clan or herself the subject of that change, she still didn't know.
