===================================
The Mayor of Clockwork. Heirloom is a dollmaker by trade, making dolls and other assorted toys for the purpose of giving to hatchlings or selling to adults, but politics also suit her very well; she has the wit and (albeit blunt) tongue for it, along with being unmoved by shenanigans. Her office has multitudes of dolls on shelves and in curio cabinets. It is unsettling. They are judging with their dead, empty eyes. Eurgh. She did not volunteer to be Mayor of Clockwork; it kind of just happened. The town chewed through several mayors that had moved to the town for the position, each one faster than the last, and in the end, the townsfolk decided to pick one of the locals to be a mayor in a democratic fashion; an anonymous election. Apparently, enough people thought Heirloom to be stable enough (and the least likely to run away) to be a leader, and that was that was that. She kinda just went with it, and kinda has two jobs now. She doesn't seem to mind. She is not without her (piling) quirks; she sometimes talks in riddles and vague implications, and seems to think about the concept of reincarnation and next lives often, as the subject seems to slip into the conversation whenever it's been going on too long. She thinks nothing of it, it seems. Perhaps it is an intimidation tactic, or perhaps it doesn't bother her, and it's everyone else who's getting weird about it. There is also a rumor that she is actually a living doll, but that's just silly. She is gentle and possesses some kindness, like her grandmother, Naga, but has little motivation to display these aspects to others, besides hatchlings, the notably pitiful, said grandmother, and especially her aunt, Maracola. (She thinks she's her aunt? Probably? She doesn't actually know. She doesn't know any of Naga's other children.) She was also inspired to pursue the trade of dollmaking by Naga's motherly nature and Maracola's expressive tinkership, fusing two of her childhood influences together for a satisfying craft. |

SPINDLE A combination guard and lapcat, Spindle is very good at fetching tools and fabric. He keeps Heirloom from getting stuck in her reveries. |
