Shock
The Werewyrm
Plagued with an incurable disease Arrived in the Clarus Clan on 42662 Infected since before he hatched, Shock has inherited his mother's disease. He was a quiet hatchling, and never as eager to prove himself as his clutch-mates. Instead, he spent most of his time on the sidelines, observing, picking up on the details that others missed. Finally, it was time to leave. He was old enough to care for himself, and he knew that as a Guardian he had a Charge somewhere in the vast world to care for. Despite this, there was never any deeper stirring within him that led him in one direction or another. For the time being, Shock thought to simply find somewhere to live. He bade his parents farewell, promising his mother to visit again - there was no leaving her territory without such a promise. In search of a home, Shock wandered through the Contagion. He came across a beautiful, chaotic City at the edge of the Rotrock Rim. Here Shock settled for a time, although he was never invited to the inner City. Instead, the Outskirt's unofficial leader, Filigree, grudgingly accepted him into the Outskirt's ranks. He stayed on his own, not eager to spread his family's heritage. Most of the dragons here were from all over Sorneith, and it was a wild mix of Flights which Shock had never been exposed to before. As always, he sat back and observed every dragon interact, picking up on the habits of different species and different elements. |

One day, he overheard a pair of Coatl brothers discuss their birthplace. They came from a Clan deep within the Viridian Labyrinth, where everything was green and vibrant. This caught Shock's attention, and for the first time, he wondered if maybe he might find his Charge. Something seemed to tug on his heart, to the point where he couldn't ignore it - he needed to ask the brothers where they came from. |

It was nearly the first time Shock had spoken with other dragons in the City, despite having lived there for so long. The Coatls gave him a strange look, but gruffly told him the directions. There was a female Imperial at the Sea of a Thousand Currents who could help him along the way. Shock thanked them for the directions - his mother raised him to be polite - and then made his way out of the City, never once looking back. |
