Tempestas
The Storm Seer
Infiltrator of the Clan
Arrived in the Clarus Clan on April 23, 2017
The super-cell had been going on for hours at this point. Anvil lightning had shown the fae nothing of what was to come. Well, she wasn't a fae dragon but the term Fae fit her nicely. Normally the bigger the storm in this desert, the more important the event. Tempestas's storm seer intuition had never been wrong before. Suddenly, a superbolt in the shape of a willow tree struck a cactus. How very odd. Clearly the shape is the most important part of that bolt, but it seems like it targeted the cactus. Perhaps a nature clan has fallen. Or maybe Fire will finally overthrow Nature and take their land. Either way, it seems like there is a party in Nature and I'm going to crash it. Tempestas returned to her "home" clan and began to back. The parents her sisters left her with looked at her in concern. "Are you okay daughter? Why are you packing?" said the female skydancer. "You dragons are really as dense as pound cakes aren't you? I am not your daughter you fools. We don't even share the same genes! My sisters left me as a Changling with the hopes I would be their in to this silly little Lightning clan. But I found something better to do with my time. See ya." |
By the time Tempestas reached the prophesied willow, the fun was over. Her Sidhe sisters had overthrown a pathetic little Nature clan. They barely put up a fight apparently. They picked them off one by one until they were able to overpower them. Some of the dragons survived but they scattered into the Viridian Labyrinth. Tempestas was genuinely sad that she missed all of the fun. She settled in her new home nicely though. She found this wonderful den full of storm research that she claimed as hers. Storms in the Viridian Labyrinth were more fun than the ones in the Shifting Expanse. More destruction with less effort. All Tempestas had to do to raise Chaos was call a wind storm. She loved the sound of cracking trees. Her sisters did not fully trust her though. The Willow was especially weary of the storm seer; she was useful to track her dragons but Tempestas's sudden fascination with tree breaking was worrying. The fact that Tempestas had no sense of loyalty didn't help either. She just wanted to watch the world burn; her sisters wanted to control it. But all good things must come to an end sometime. |

The dragons came back after a few years. The Willow accepted them readily and the sisters did after a dragon from the Clarus Clan's ally. Tempestas wished they had never returned. After a month of dealing with her shenanigans, the dragons subdued her. The seer Farstrider could predict her storms with an accuracy that infuriated her. Doria, part of the Pearl Council, could also control storms. She would pacify any storm that Tempestas made. Tempestas wouldn't go down without a fight. Late one night, she tried to murder both Doria and Farstrider. All she needed to do was slip in while they were sleeping and end them. Then she would be the only seer and storm raiser. But she forgot that her enemies could predict her movements. Farstrider foresaw their impending doom. He warned the leaders of the clan and Doria. They planted a trap for the Fae. The weather had been calm for the past week so Tempestas had no clue what was to come. She lost what little trust was given to her by the clan. Even her sisters no longer trusted her. They covered Tempestas in bells as punishment. She couldn't raise a storm without everyone noticing. She couldn't move stealthily. She was miserable. Tempestas refused to move though. Despite everything that had happened, the clan was a fun place to be. There was always something happening. Plus when dragons visited from the City, Tempestas got all of the latest gossip. In the end, she found a job in the Merchant Grove and caused chaos, not with storms but with her words.
