“I could destroy you in nothing but my pajamas, come at me, bro”

--The Twins' sentiment, summed up by Rhonwen

Rhonwen came to the clan in its earliest days, the first hatchling not born to Vianne and Zelophehad. They took in the foundling, all awkward limbs and unwieldly spines.

Despite the inadvertent danger she posed to them, The Twins - hatchlings themselves - played with her. The three became fast friends.

But as The Twins grew, so did their need to Search. Rhonwen was with them when they discovered the Coliseum - watched with a mixture of awe and jealousy as they became powerful fighters.

It created a distance between them.

She wanted to fight. Denied this, Rhonwen fell back on her Ridgeback instincts: she began borrowing The Twins' lair when they were out fighting; she began borrowing any and all armor that began to accumulate as the clan grew.

And that was how her friendship with Miyako began - the Imperial caught her in the act of borrowing some armor. While Miyako had no use for it herself, it still bothered her that Rhonwen took it without asking.

But, somehow, that initial argument was the start of a... friendship of sorts. By turns antagonistic and fiercely supportive, Rhonwen and Miyako are considered frenemies by most of the clan.

Yet The Twins were not as oblivious to her feelings as Rhonwen had believed - once they reached Level 25, they offered to train her to fight. All her resentment towards her childhood friends evaporated: she took them up on their offer on the spot.

Unlike The Twins, however, for whom fighting is almost sacred, Rhonwen simply enjoys the thrill of it: the adrenaline rushing through her body, the feeling of her blood pumping hard through her heart. She likes to wade into a battle and bash some heads in good, using her size and strength to her advantage.

And that is how she became the clan's exaltee trainer.

Even though Miyako has to patch up the clan's recruits, she and Rhonwen have remained friends, somehow.

[When the shaman sneak drives Miyako out, things get very, very nasty between her and Rhonwen.]
