I could see you down below,
And jumped into that chasm
So willingly, it was as though
I knew you’d catch me at the deepest fathom

And what was my life when I lived above,
But a phantasm of the greater good?
Where my loyalty was not to my love,
But to the doubts of what I could do?

It took a lot to climb from the blackness
And slow the widening crack—
After falling so far, I finally know
I can bridge together what’s above and below;
I know to ignore the doubts,
I’ve learned to keep them back
A life underground
Knowledge, energy, and love
