- The egg was found in the darker corners of Shadow, guarded by a strange creature of the shade

-The hatchling is part of the Seeker order, with a thirst for adventure. Portents also place them in the Overseer order, hinting at a future in finding and containing a new horrorbeast. The other gaolers call them the Overseeker.

- Due to the magic surrounding their birth and the discovery of a gaoler egg, this hatchling is a shapeshifer, able to take on the appearance of any creature (so I can be a butt and not have to draw dragons all the time) - however, they always have a pair of antlers, no matter how they look.

-Being raised by a clan of librarians has it’s benefits, even for Gaolers. Despite what the other gaolers in the clan might think, this kid hoards maps. So many maps, they use them in their seeking.

-Gender neutral!!

-Bad habits include: trying to bathe their familiar in rivers. Which would be easier if said familiar wasn’t an intelligent creature that dislikes getting bathed in ice cold water, especially while wearing their clothes.

-Also hoards diety dolls. Tried with the sculptures, but the icewarden melted and the gladekeeper wilted. May or may not sleep on their pile of dolls. (100% does). Favorite is a worn windseeker puppet with a patched leg.
