They bowed to her as she passed, honorifics falling from their lips. They waited on her hand and foot. Subservient and sweet, if a little dull.

But not everyone could be as elegant as her. They had their place, and she had hers. And if she was just a bit higher than them—better than them—then that was how it was.

Surrounded by opulence and splendor, there was nothing she had want for.

And if every now and then, a little birdie told her of a certain someone… she just smirked, and waved a hand all graceful and royal and dignified.

“Kill him.”
