Samekh

It’s no falsity that the Tangled Wood desires to trick and stray, but the Ashfall Waste is a domain to truly fear. Hailing from a world where the desert devoured travellers for dessert, Samekh only strived to save. As he spent his years hoisting dragons from the blazing brink and leading them to and through the light, however, he knew in his heart that he and his stalwart spirits could never avenge the corpses the land had summited. So he turned his fizzled gaze north, where the shadowlings lay. Oh, how he loathed Sornieth’s tricksters. But Samekh wasn’t here to avenge. He knew his calling, as always, was to save. He gathered his phantasmal flames and placed them in the woods, drawing lost dragonets to his illuminating warmth. To be found in forgiving fire, to lose a Veilspun demise. Samekh wanted to be a savior.
