Miara is the elected leader of the Clan of the Sunlit Cliffs. She and the high council do their best to manage the maintenance of peace and prosperity with a kind and welcoming hand. As the clan is fairly small, she is able to spend time with the general public and is overall well-liked as a leader and person, but any tough decision is bound to leave some bitter. Despite her relative youth, she has proved a competent leader. She is bright-eyed and friendly when relaxed but can be aloof or clinical when at work. While she dresses fairly plainly in day to day life, she proudly wears the Lightweaver regalia gifted to her by the clan's craftsmen for ceremonies and worship.

She spends her limited free time with her family and friends as well as continuing her magical and academic education. She has an insatiable appetite for knowledge and frequently contributes to the clan library. She will rarely turn down an opportunity to learn from any expert willing to teach.

She is one of the few survivors of the great calamity that befell the original citizens of the tower, although she was only a child at the time. She has since returned to reclaim and rebuild her home. Her parents were council members of the old clan who did not escape the calamity and she learned the workings of clan government over their shoulders as a child. After escaping the calamity she was taken in by a clan she stumbled across. She fell in love with the clan's young prince, Aires, and helped him escape the cruel, martial royal family. The two traveled across light territory, picking up found family as they went. After the birth of her daughter, Diosis, Miara finally had the courage and desire to return to her ruined home.
