A quiet guardian, ever watching the activities of his clan.

Gaelan is older than most, and while he has energy to spare he sees no reason to use it unless he's particularly needed; he hardly moves from his perches, a living statue keeping sharp-eyed vigil over newcomers and visitors. While he's a gentle soul at heart, he most often takes the role of cantankerous elder, letting other dragons teach hatchlings the more subtle lessons they'll need to survive.

When the clan is in danger, Gaelan rises in wrath; those who mistake the resting imperial for some kind of ornament often find that it's the last mistake they'll ever make.
