Was Amber, a friendly young Skydancer
Not royal, but seemed so much like she was
To them, she was one of their own sisters.
Her life consisted of royal parties

But sometimes she wondered, amidst her whims
If there was just more to life than it seemed.

Traditional House
When I look at a dragon, I see a dragon- not a rank, class, or title.
Brought up in the traditional family, Amber has learned all of it's culture. Despite her young age, she loves tradition and all the rules of etiquette that has been taught to her. She is a very classy girl, relishing in colourful kimonos and dresses, exotic accessories and shiny jewellery. You can easily find her at a party, where she'd be mingling with the highest class, greeting princes and princesses like they are her best friends. And most likely, they are. She has a way with people, her smile, her manners, that allows her to make connections and forms friendships easily. |

Amber was very loved as a hatchling. Her calm demeanor and friendly nature made her easy to be around, and she never caused problems for her caretakers. Her warm and inviting personality appealed to adults as well as hatchlings, so she had a wide social circle even while very young. Her ease at making connections continued throughout life, and she is always comfortable at a party. Even royalty will greet Amber with a wide smile and friendly conversation. Amber has no problem fitting in among her royal friends. She is always dressed well, accessories carefully chosen. She greatly enjoys wearing kimonos and dresses, and will always wear them if she can. And of course, no outfit is complete without the proper jewelry- the shinier the better. Her exotic accessories are a wonderful conversation starter. She always catches the eye of everyone in the room. She matches royalty not only in style, but it manners. She was raised in the Heng Feng house, where tradition was everything. The other young dragons often disliked the strict traditions, finding them boring, outdated, or stifling. But Amber absolutely loved it. There was a sense of satisfaction in getting all of the etiquette exactly perfect, and the neat and repetitive rituals gave her a sense of meditative peace. The traditions really helped her feel connected to Heng Feng house the generations that came before, the generations that will come after. It is these traits that let her be such close friends with Fluorite. They first met on an unfortunate adventure. Amber had gotten lost, and was in pretty serious trouble. โLost, alone, and far from homeโ was no place for a fancy girl like her. She would have been robbed, or kidnapped, had the wrong dragon found her. Instead she was found by Fluorite, who was kind, and polite, and led her home. They met again, by coincidence, at a party. That was when Amber learned they shared a lot of interests. Like her, Fluorite was well mannered and cultured. She applied the same care and consideration to family tradition as she did to Chinese Medicine, and excelled at it. And no one could play Zither like Fluorite could- Amber would listen to her play for hours. Amber has not seen Fluorite in a long time. Once, while travelling together, they were attacked. Fluorite defended Amber, taking the wound herself. Amber lost consciousness. When she awoke the enemies- and Fluorite- was gone. She searched and searched for what seemed like ages. There was no sign of her. She waited for a ransom note, thinking fluorite had been kidnapped; none came.
