Biography
The Leader| Last of His Kind| The Ageless| Redemption Quest
- Alistair the First; the chariot
- Clan leader
- Mate: Capella
- "Gentle reader, the Fountain of Youth is radioactive, and those who imbibe its poisonous heavy waters will suffer the hideous fate of decaying metal. Yet almost without exception, the wretched idiot inhabitants of our benighted planet would gulp down this radioactive excrement if it were offered." -William S. Burroughs
- A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves."-Lao Tzu
Young Alistair the First of Clan Dusk began life in solitary. He was the last of his clan after a long, bloody conflict had torn the once proud group of dragons apart, his only instruction from his now dead clan to not make the same mistakes they had. With nowhere to go, Alistair traveled the lands of the Sunbeam Ruins where he had been born in hopes of finding a purpose. Once he reached the lands of the Arcanist, he found a young Nocturne named Capella. After agreeing to look out for each other and eventually falling in love over the years they stayed together, Alistair and Capella rebuilt Clan Dusk from its ashes to its now more prosperous state.
Admittedly, Alistair knows very little of his original clan save for the fact his ancestors had a bloody history revolving around trying to find a supposed fountain of eternal youth. They butchered each other to try and find a relic that may not even be real. Alistair wishes to be nothing like them. Instead, his clan has gone to a more traditional structure, welcoming any and all dragons who need a home. He tries to make the clan welcoming to everyone from all walks of life and tries to be a shining example to everyone who falls under his banner. However, Alistair is plagued with uneasy feelings of paranoia. He doesn't entirely trust himself not to fall victim to the same vices that claimed his ancestors. Their dying wish was that he try to reform it, not take it back to its roots.
Alistair is constantly unsure of himself, leaving some of the more outspoken members of his clan to doubt his leadership. He puts on a good mask, though, taking to not always being entirely true to himself in dealing with others. In his spare time, Alistair looks to information on the fountain his ancestors so desperately sought in hopes of destroying it so that the mistakes of the past may never be repeated. He isn't proud of doing this and covers it up if ever asked about it. Still, he believes it a necessary evil if he is ever to reach his full potential as leader and rid his lineage of the dark past it was once a part of.
