Cavador always knew of his true parentage between the Lightweaver and her priest. He was raised in the Sunbeam Ruins, a child of the devout who always knew his true purpose lay with the the Lightweaver's visions. The flame that burned within him eternally was his domain: valor, his bravery and morality that pushed him to fully understand the precarious balance of the world. As a young adult his mother came to him herself and told him the story of the Shade and the beginning of the New Age. Dragonkind had set upon the pieces of the Shade and crafted them into artifacts that neither god nor immortal should wield — and her sister, the Shadowbinder, sought to gather them all. The Lightweaver bestowed upon Cavador the only Shade-touched item she had: Contagion's Root, a pure obsidian sword within its radiant scabbard, capable of creating illusions. With his mother's blessing, Cavador set out beyond the Ruins, searching for anything that could counteract the corruption of the Shade — though all the while trying to resist the whispers from Contagion's Root, promising an illusory, perfect world through the power at his clawtips, the justice he could wrought if only he had more...
Cavador has formed his followers in the Lightweaver's name with himself at the helm. His closest companion, the Arcanist's pride, is slowly drifting from his side as his perspectives become more extreme. In contrast, he clings ever tighter to the blood-seer: a son of the Earthshaker who would gladly wear the Light garbs if it brings him closer to his true goal. Their aim is to sweep across Sorneith and gather the Artifacts into a single, trusted hand: the Lightweaver's, and his of course.
