Meet Me in the Woods MAP

In Our Bedroom After The War AMV

Heart Heart Head AMV

Don't mind this just RP speeches.

"Um, hi everyone... This speech is a little unorthodox, seeing as I'm writing it for Roxy instead of Trigger since we switched, but... Hey, this is Gravity Falls. Unorthodox is the name of the game here. So... To be honest, I didn't think I'd be making a speech up here. That part just sorta slipped my mind when I was asked to do this." He paused, and laughed. "And yes, before you ask, I did look up speeches on the internet before writing this. But I didn't learn much. However, one thing I DID learn was that... These kind of things are personal. They have to come from yourself and no one else." He took another deep breath, then launched into the body of his speech.
"I've been back in Gravity Falls for approximately less than a month. And boy has that time here been insane. I think we can ALL agree on that one. There has been demons and creatures and magic and friendships, injuries and now another apocalypse.... And miracles, too. That's why we're here in the first place." He coughed.
"Last time I got up and spoke, I was in this same outfit, in this same spot, speaking on behalf of the same person. That time, it was a funeral. I said all I could, and then couldn't continue." He looked at Roxy before breaking into a huge smile. "If today I find myself unable to speak all that well, someone get me down from here quick because it won't be from sadness, it'll be due to the fact that I feel sick with nerves."
He broke away from his written speech for a moment. "Well, this is less nerve wracking than I thought, but still bear that in mind!"
Back to his script.
"Before I go into Roxy, I gotta acknowledge Trigger a little bit too. We met under... Less than ideal circumstances. There was mockery, arguing, and a lot of zombies. And not too long later he almost mistakenly arrested Grunkle Stan and then got his memory wiped.... And it was all my fault." Dipper coughed a little and gave a guilty smile. "Sorry about that again, Trigger. But how I found out he was a cool guy was the fact that, after a shaky start, he was willing to give me and the rest of the Pines here in Gravity Falls a chance again. We had a long talk on the way to Roxy's lab. Sure, it was forced a bit at first, but we eventually came to an understanding, sitting in a small rest stop off the highway. We're way more like than we would have thought, not only because we would do stupid things to impress those we admire. We never gave up, and we're willing to try and forgive." He paused again. "And of course the fact that he loves Roxy factors in too, anyone who does must be pretty tolerant," he teased. "And he's now our fearless leader in the fight against the void, and I think I can speak for us all when I say we're with you to the end." He nodded at Trigger, then moved on.
"So on to Roxy... Where do I even begin? I met Roxy, as I said, about a month ago. Long story short, we're now legally family. I don't exactly think I need to go over all the details, because I know you guys were here for most of it. Yes, Doxx and Angel and Gamma and everyone else who hasn't been here for this whole wild ride, this summary is probably mainly for you two.
"She seemed different from the first time I met her. She was always funny and warm and completely free of judgement. For me, that was... Refreshing, to say the least. She may have called me 'kid,' but she never really treated me like one, you know? I got to play videogames with her once, and she even got me in a cool government training program, even though I'm younger than everyone else. She's also funny, and has a great sense of humor. She'd crack jokes at her own funeral." He flashed her a wink. "And most importantly of all... Roxy seems to care about the new people she meets as if they could become family. And that is exactly what happened here.
"Through transformations and attacks and corruptions, Roxy kept up her winning personality and fighting spirit." He squinted at the paper. "Wow that sounded more like a eulogy..." Turning red, he cleared his throat an continued.
"I'm sorry to say that, due to my past experiences with demons, I judged her when she became a half-demon. Now I live with more than four under the same roof and one in my head, so I've learned that they're as diverse as us humans. They, in a way, have many of the exact same qualities as humans, actually, and they never deserved our hate or the bad name we game them. So thanks, Roxy, for not giving up on me when I tried to give up on you.
"We had peace for a while. And then Roxy saved my life. I had made a stupid choice and she was able to get me to the hospital so I didn't die. I owe her my life. And the thing is, she owes me hers just a little bit too." He paused, winking at her.
"We all know about the void. In fact, we will probably go from the wedding party back into battle training. And we all know what happened to Roxy and just how heartbroken we were. You saw some of it," he said, directly to Roxy.
"So those CDs? They contained a bit of Roxy's soul. Somehow I gave her the idea of making a deal with me so she could take up residence in my head. Yes, for a while I had two demons up there. It was... crowded." He laughed. "I helped give her time to enact the little plan we saw in action early that morning, the one that allowed this wedding to happen. Not to sound too confident, but I'm proud of my past self for saying those words. I couldn't be happier to stand up here and talk tonight. It's... Amazing. And so much more has happened since then. Some good, some terrible. I visited New York city with Roxy a while back, just to take a break... We got a chance to talk, talk like I did with Trigger on the road and just say some things we needed to say. Well, I know that I needed to say them, at least. Um... Yeah. I also met Angel there, so once again I have Roxy to thank for that." He grinned at the girl with purple hair.
"As for the bad... There was another fight with the Void leaving some injured and Roxy missing yet again. Morale was low. We wondered if we'd ever see her again. By some miracle, Trigger let me come on the rescue mission and... It worked. We got Roxy back! But... Not without that hitch of her reverting back to a kid. Everything was pretty weird. We had to go back and get Roxy's demon third back. I will have you know that, strangely, singing was involved." He grinned knowingly at the bride and groom. "Who knew a rescue mission to an alien world could be fun? Anyways... Roxy was worried before we left. She said that she had done some things she wasn't proud of, and I could tell she was wondering if she should let the past be changed. We all forgave her in an instant."
He straightened up. "It's not the past that defines us, though this speech has been almost entirely about the past. A bit misleading, I know. But it's who we are today that matters. And here's to one of us, the mom of the group who died to save us and is now back for round two."
He then pulled a small scrap of paper from his pocket, and held it up. "I asked Doxx if I could borrow this picture of all of us on the night of Summerween. Most of us are in it. It's our family." He beckoned Doxx up. The gangley demon stood and walked up, pressing a finger to the photo. It expanded like a holographic projection, showing a rare moment of happiness; the calm before the succession of storms that came after. This wedding in fact was their next respite. "This is us. No matter what, we'll stick together."
Doxx went to sit back down, reclaiming his photo as the projection faded. But the speech wasn't over yet. He had one more thing to say, which he did in a quiet voice.
"The night before Roxy returned to us, Star and I wished on a shooting star. My wish? That no matter what happens, all my friends and family be safe. Including Roxy." With that, he raised his glass of sparkling fruit juice. "To Roxy and Trigger, the coolest adopted cousin and... Cousin-in-law? that a kid like me could have, and I hope they're happy for a really long time!" He leveled a finger at the couple.
"No more funerals, you hear me?" Then he laughed and sipped his drink happily, though some tears of emotion could be seen in the corner of his eyes.
This time, though, they were from happiness.
And you can't spell 'happiness' without 'Pines.'

Quote:
I got a demon today. Apparently they're these weird geometric thingies that choose a human as their 'charge.' Mine is Bill Cipher, a golden triangle. He's ####### (scratched out) Mabel got this blue square that calls itself Dot Matrix.

Bill is the worst. He hates me. Why the heck would he even decide to be a guardian? Maybe I could get Mabel to ask Dot some questions.

I cant get away from him. Make him leave me alone.

THAT ##### (scratched out) POSSESSED ME. HE NEARLY KILLED ME. AND NOW HE LOOKS LIKE THIS. (arrow to humanoid form) Why???

Bill saved me? From some flesh eating bugs... Why would he do that? I thought he hated me.

I got some... bad... news today. Turns out Bill's kind of good at comforting when he wants to be. He and I actually agreed to be nice. Admittedly, I had ANOTHER panic attack, and Bill can raise his body temperature exponentially. It was... comforting, I'll admit.

UNCLE FORD SHOT BILL OH MY GOSH. He lived though... I helped save his life...

He's improved even more. I really, really hope this continues if I'm bonded to him for the rest of my........

He's got some funny habits. He really likes food; he's a really gross eater though. But I guess it's kinda funny, like watching a big, golden-haired baby eat.

He can take away nightmares too, and draw on my energy to do magic, it's pretty cool.

Okay, sharing a bed hasn't been that bad. Actually it's really comforting. He's so much bigger than me, it's like being attacked by a sleeping octopus. (Obviously added later) HE DROOLED IN MY HAIR.

Now that we're not arguing, we're finding that we can be pretty good friends.

When I was.... Crying... yesterday, I found out that Bill can catch on blue fire when emotions are running high. He really likes me, like I'm his kid or little brother. I think he saw something inside me too, but I ca't tell.

He came into my nightmare and saved me. He might teach me how to bend the mindscape to my will if we have enough time.

A very small and seemingly lonely spirit, obviously rather new, sat apart from everything, lost in heartbreaking thoughts. His almost dead-seeming eyes wandered across the edge of the barren landscape. He often came to this spot to look at that one spot of bright light in the huge cavern. The one-way gate to the living world.

He missed them. So, so much.

He knew he'd confused Death with his demeanor. The being had seemed extremely surprised when he saw Dipper's reaction to everything. No screaming, sobbing, or denial that most children (and many adults) also go through. Just quiet, heart-rending acceptance. Of course, tears had been silently pouring from his eyes the entire time, but he didn't say a single word.

Of course Death was confused. It was almost as if this child had expected death. But when reviewing the way that the boy had died... Who could be expecting that?

Now his spirit simply wandered around aimlessly, speaking not a single word since he had arrived. He knew no one there, and was grateful for it, but lonely all the same. At the very least, he had gotten his blue and white pine tree hat back, which now seemed a talisman of his past, of sorts. It reminded him who he was, and he prayed that he'd never, never forget.

...

Something made him look up. A glimmer. A feeling of life. Something alive was here. A group of somethings... And they were glowing.

He squinted, trying to see what they were.

When he did, his nonexistent heart burst. His family. His family, still living, had come to him. Tears began dripping down his face, a completely silent set of sobs. None of them, save for Mabel, would have ever seen him cry so hard. But this was from happiness, and a warmth inside that he hadn't had since he'd died.

He was probably glowing to them like they were to him, but he doubted they'd care. Also... Spirits couldn't speak to the living, he knew that. He wouldn't be able to talk to them, but he found he didn't care one bit.

He got abruptly to his feet and took off towards them, hoping a desperate hope that they would be able to interact, that he wouldn't phase through them, that things would be like they were when he was alive.

They'd come to him. Now he was going to them.

He didn't even stop to notice that one very, very important glow wasn't there. That one of them... Looked like Dipper.

Dead.
