NOTES
- Is the one that breaks down the available territory into "cantons", to give to new permanent residents.
- Like, she goes thru the Village's territory with her client, and makes compromises (with the resident) from what remaining space is available vs what this new Villager wants.
- Current Villagers and already-established old-timers also go to her, if they want to expand their homestead or canton / have another part of territory elsewhere.
- Tho, in general, Villagers only expand around their already-existing canton; unless there truly is no more space there.
- For example, Andre went thru the expanding process for his canton (and he actually got quite a territory deal back then, due to his very useful food production.. Causing a bit of jealousy from others, lol).
- Rusty is not part of the Council, so she has to go to them for every canton-expanding demand... She delivers the permits to the resident in question, but the Greymuzzles have a veto / the final say (like for every sphere of the Village's life...)
- It could potentially happen, that Rusty delivers a permit to someone for expanding their turf, and that (afterwards) the Greymuzzles decide to invalidate that action of hers...
- But it hasn't happened yet, at least (enough territory for everyone, for now), and she is on good terms with the Council (and vice versa...)
- Cantons are about 2km long, by 1km large / deep. So... With the amount of Villagers we have? Yeah, the Village's territory is veeeery big, LOL
- Thanks to Blossoms (or well, Aurora) AND Stormlight, claiming a ton of territory in the Snowsquall Tundra, in the earlier days of the Village (TO ELABORATE ON THIS PAST).

- Perhaps there was a war with Beastclans and the neighbouring dragon clans, for territory... After all, Stormlight could have easily developed weapons for war... Or well, to push back other clans?
- Tho, my idea of the Snowquall Tundra (and of the Sounthern Icefields as a whole!), is that... Well, here we go.
- The Past Times had the first Settlers, in a harsh and cold land that was barely inhabited / not divided into Clans or regions, yet... Just very few individuals, or very small groups, catapulted in his far-away place (for multiple reasons; exile, bounty on their heads / fleeing criminals, Guardians during their Search, a few wanting to start anew... etc.), and just trying to... Build something from this mess. Not wanting to die, too...
- Like, Ice had no outright economical activity, therefore it wasn't super interesting for most dragons to get there... And the living conditions were terrible, even for the Beastclan nations (native to the place, or around it)...

- The Modern Times; Aurora, Moonflower, and Stormlight, do their best to get by. The Village is starting out, it's a bit of a mess tho... The fur trade is also starting (conjoint efforts, from both dragons and Beatsclan) and that's when the proto-Villagers claim tons of territories for that first TRUE economical activity of Ice!
- "First come, first serve", y'know! The first one who does the war and who claims the "biggest part of the pie", so to speak... Are the ones who will shape the world.
- Thanks to Stormlight (and encouraged by their Malicious Leader, Aurora), these Proto-Villagers have Lightning-based weapons (very effective against Ice things and beings, and thus quite destructive in the Southern Icefields); to fight against other proto-Clans and forming Villages, to effectively get their territory for their own needs...
- The proto-Villagers of the Spirit Village, were running on adrenaline to survive, and just.. Trying to get by. The more territory they could get, and the more that they could pull their weight in this blooming fur trade, the better!
- Therefore, Contemporary Times Villagers (those that are here rn) look back at their history of bloodshed + resource stealing... They're not proud of it (plus other bad stuff, from the environmental side of things...)
- Modern Times peeps did trapping and hunting (both native and exotic species), and loosely had an economy around the fur trade...
- But this helped every clan develop, despite the bad parts of this "warring"; the Spirit Village became a staple in the fur trade, and that area of the Southern Icefields became a true hub for fur and pelts!!
- Fur farms (or ranches) got developed too; enemy clans became allies, so that the economy would get better (thus helping out most of those around here)...

- Now we're in the Contemporary Times; affiliated Villages or groups have ranches (mostly exotics), ooor do their own hunting and trapping, and then they export their furs to the Spirit Village... Since it's a lucrative system for everyone, all around, y'know! What with the Holding House, and all...
- Thye also send their fur / meat / etc. stock there, when it's the Live Show... Yay!
- The Village now has about... Let's say, 200-ish "souls".
- No one is trying to actively hurt the Spirit Village (for its territory, at least), anymore... Despite the bloodshed, and despite how much they stole from others, things are quite peaceful rn. People are on good terms with each other, in the inter-Clan way... Like, "gotta help each other thru adversity"-type thinking.
- Since the Snowsquall Tundra life is stiiill quite rough in winter and etc... lol :'D
- And like, the fur trade means so much to everyone in that part of the Southern Icefields... So no one wants to be THE one, that will bring the entire economical activity / fur trade culture, down; by attacking the Spirit Village... Y'know.
