Born and raised in one of the few remaining Royal Courts from the Tsunami Flats, Pearl was trained since young to act as nobility.
Not only he was from a very wealthy and important family, Pearl was born a very powerful mage as well, tough life in the court lost it's shine very early, still in his younger years he was already bored.
He never took up the warriors' training that was expected of him, a bit out of boredom, a bit out of spite, nor was he ever interested in being a scholar, either, he did like reading, tough his interests laid in fantasy and fiction books - not science and even more boring material.
Instead, as a challenge to himself - and out of a need to find amusement in such a stifling place that was his home, he honed his skill to impress the ladies, and in the beginning all was well, but eventually, they grew tired of his splendor (and he of the endless games).
That was when he first laid his eyes on the ethereal and beautiful Moon. He knew the moment he laid his eyes on her that it was it, his heart and soul was taken and finally he would either crash and burn or be swept off his feet, figuratively and literally.
The fact that Moon was there to kill him mattered little, when his heart was so filled with a love he didn't knew he was even capable of feeling when their eyes crossed.
He did the only thing he could think of then. He did his very best, used every skill and knowledge he accumulated over the years to make her fall for him instead of killing him. And this time, he was trying for real, he wanted her by his side with every inch of his heart, and for his utter surprise, it worked.
He was able to make her fall for him, despite that being his goal all along he never truly thought he would be able to win her heart for real.
For some time after that he was still convinced that he was dead and in some sort of strange heaven for Moon's utter amusement.
