Bolt was born and raised at the Shifting Expanse, working at the Lightning Farms since a teenager. His love for his homeland has always been deep and true and he's absolutely proud of how technologically advanced his birth region is.

As he grew older and wiser though he learned that not all of Sornieth share such industrial and advanced mindset and he was appalled and horrified by the idea. As the years passed and he saw his home grow and thrive he started to think of ways he could better the world somehow, bringing enlightenment to those who were lost in places still far behind.

He decided then to travel the world and teach as many people as he could and so a long arduous quest began.

As his journey went on his opinions and understanding of the world shifted and grew and after many years of successes and failings, of victories and falls, he finally reached the Starfall Isles. There he was surprised and enchanted by how easily its inhabitants mingled magic and science so readily, and after some weeks roaming the Starwoods he met Starbound and Rozequartz watching the stars through a huge telescope build by the former. Mesmerized by the fine construct of such technology, using both expertly crafted materials and arcane magic to enhance its potential Bolt felt a little bit like coming home, despite being so far away from his homeland.

The three of them talked the entire night, exchanging ideas and knowledge regarding science and technology. At the dusk he found himself accompanying the two scholar dragons towards their clan and later on accepting Starbound invite to join them.

Today he helps to improve the clan as best as he can, many times switching electrical energy by arcane magic as its source and thus creating new improved gadgets and other useful apparels for everyone of his new home.

His best friend is Synth, the Head Engineer of the clan, they're often seen walking together around Patera or at the Shrine where Bolt lives.
