As an infant, her home in the Fallow Sky Colony was overcrowding fast due to the high demand for living accommodations within the territory. Knowing their hatchlings would fare better with other nature clans, the parents of many Colony hatchlings sent them away. Leia found herself being bounced around for a short time before landing in the EchoFlower clan as it began blooming. There, she began learning under the clan's leaders and through the hatchling-sitters. In no time the young coatl was picking up on clearly difficult subjects and showing intense interest in clan interactions. As a young adult Leia was asked to undergo the proper training and certification to become the EchoFlower ambassador to which she gladly accepted.

Though she still misses her home in the Fallow Sky Colony and thinks about her parents from time to time, she is happy with the troupe. Being inside of a growing, living group of dragons has kept her mind moving. However, nothing could prepare her for a moment that nearly ruined her hard work. On her way home from a solo mission to the plague Boneshard clan she was attacked by a hostile group of mirrors who permanently ruined her right front leg. When she returned to the EchoFlowers wounded and near death, Han appointed himself as her bodyguard and would hear no sense on the matter. This brought forth a new aspect to their previously professional relationship and soon they were staying with the troupe long enough to raise a few small clutches before going out on their missions together.

Knowing Han's family past in the vaguest details, Leia was devastated when her first clutch of three beautiful boys had to be sent away before they grew up. Han refused to allow the imperials to stay, and only once they were gone did he tell Leia the truth. In spite of the future she wanted, Leia agreed to send away their children if it meant saving them from a family curse as bad as that of an emperor.

Leia enjoys the travel to distant places, bringing them gifts from nature as signs of goodwill and trust. Wherever she goes, Leia is welcomed by the local dragons. She makes the effort to learn about them and understand them. This way it is easier for herself and Han to create lasting bonds between clans. Some clans are wary of her affiliation with the Aviar tribes and many dragons outright shun her if the renegade aviar comes with her on missions instead of staying at a distance.

Strong, independent, and practical, Leia was not the most likely to settle down with a mate. So she surprised everyone when she chose Han and became quite serious about him. She takes her task as ambassador incredibly seriously and will put her duties above her relationship but is always looking out for him. He barely has the ability to care for himself, frequently doing things wrong or embarrassingly to the point that Leia happily sweeps up after him and continues her nearly flawless day.
