ϟ Xander « STOP. TURN BACK. PROCEEDING FURTHER WILL ONLY RESULT IN MISERY. » Despite being built as a service robot, Xander's distrustful and unfriendy demeanor makes him hard to approach with success. Hostile at best and menacing at worst, interacting with him is often discouraged by his perpetual unfriendliness and unnecessary threats, which rarely become physical despite the severe overreacting. While the source of his ill temper might come from a mere mistake during his programming, this unnatural behavior appears to serve as a defence mechanism against accusations that define him as a soulless automaton, reacting to those claims with intense hatred towards the accusers and generalizing dragonkind as untrustworthy arrogants. As such, Xander's contempt for his creators makes him somewhat cooperative and sociable exclusively with other robots from the corporation, showing distrust and irritation towards anyone else.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Constructed for the sole purpose of guarding the corporation's laboratories with indubitable dedication, Xander took his duty with extreme seriousness and diligence- but despite finding genuine enjoyment in the job, his tendency to overreact with excessive aggression and hostility towards anyone considered a trespasser brought his creators to dismiss him from the role of sentinel. Frustrated and offended by the notice, making him accept the reality of the situation was a lot harder than predicted. With the promise of being returned to his job after managing to keep his violent impulses under control, Xander was assigned to the corporation's healer to become his new assistant, hoping Iskar's calm and peaceful ways could affect the robot during his apprenticeship. Still bitter over the dismissal, his first impression of the new master was extremely biased. Unfairly treating the skydancer with disrespect and malice in a prolonged rebellious attempt, the unsuccessful threats and insults were abandoned with Xander's better understanding of Iskar's good intentions, slowly lowering his guard and finally accepting the teachings that had been disregarded until then. Surprisingly enough, the two managed to grow pretty close despite the initial complications- perhaps even too much. While his master's presence manages to keep Xander's stability in check, solitude causes his aggressive and hateful nature to manifest itself regardless of its long absence, making him extremely unpredictable whenever left alone. |
