Nyctea

Nyctea ('snowy owl') came from an Ice clan when he stowed away on a wandering dragon in hopes of seeking adventure. As soon as he was discovered he was transported to the nearest clan - the Tribe of the Endless Dusk - but not before he had traveled across all of Sornieth. Only a few hours later Everwinter, who was Nyctea's age, got dropped off by a Harpy. The two hatchlings came from neighboring lands and both had traveled across Sornieth. They happily swapped stories and became the best of friends. Nyctea believed Everwinter's story about meeting a male Harpy and helped her study other creatures. He and Everwinter spent time in the library together - with her reading about non-Dragons and him reading about plants, a new interest of his.

Nyctea never lost his love of travel and frequently travels back and forth from the Veridian Labryinth and the Southern Icefield, and everywhere in between. Everwinter often accompanies him, representing Beastclans or just studying the wildlife in the area. They remain best friends and close mates.

Nyctea more about his species hardly seen in the Labryinth - the Tundra - and how they could cope with the humid air. He learned about ice plants and how they could cope with the change of temperature. He used Ice magic to make a very, very cold cave to grow his plants in and to cool himself off. Poinsettia has taken an interest in his experiements utilizing plants she has never been able to use and Melorey likes the idea of chilled caves for storing food.
