Oldest of the clan, Stormbringer raised her small band of dragons from a clan of three to a clan of forty, occupying massive amounts of land until the final move to the Tempest Spire. She kept the clan organised, sending dedicated dragons searching for homes in, and training them to attain the highest honour a dragon could receive. She trained her son Thunder to be the same, enduring the various environments of the coliseum to not only feed the clan, but assist their adoptees in training to serve the Stormcatcher. Until the day came when her clan decided they too, grew tired of the placid life they led. Faced with over twenty of her own clan members begging her to allow them to join the Stormcatcher, she made the resolute decision to train each of them against the Beastclans, teaching them elemental affinities, ensuring they supported each other and taught them the skills so needed by the Stormcatcher. Day by day, she sent more dragons to serve the deity, until only ten remained. She was distraught, but desired to let her former clanmates follow their own paths. She forged on. The move to the Sea of a Thousand Currents came at a point where the healers were unable to improve past their current point, mages unable to practice their magics as wild magics tore through Sornieth. For Stormbringer, she knew too that it was time to leave the Tempest Spire. With nine dragons in tow, she flew through Sornieth with purpose, settling their clan in the Sea of a Thousand Currents. For many of her brood, they accepted the change gratefully, the proximity to the other territories aiding the magic they employed, and the skills they gained. Only the most loyal remain now, strength gained through loss and hardship. Perhaps one day Stormbringer will find it in herself to recruit more clan members. But until that day, she will simply be content in continuing to care for her nine companions. And the rest of her clan. |
