Don't be fooled by this Wildclaw's sharp teeth and serrated claws—Emerald is easily one of the kindest dragons this clan has ever seen. As the last of Gelida's seven founders, she has been with the clan since day one and views the entire clan as her charge, in a sense. There's practically not a single dragon in the clan who hasn't either been comforted by Emerald during a dark time, been given a gift by her during a time of strife (or just out of the goodness of her heart), nor has there ever been a dragon Emerald hasn't offered to help out in any way possible. That's what she is to every member of the clan: a shoulder to lean on, an older, wiser figure to seek advice from, or anything she'll offer you to be.
Although Emerald has never been interested in having hatchlings of her own, she has always found a great enjoyment in helping raise the clan's hatchlings. When she's not helping out her companions, the nursery is the main place she likes to be, and her talent with children is absolutely undeniable as well. Most of the young ones growing up in Gelida will never not see her as a second, or third, mother; she's kind, patient, full of knowledge to satisfy the hatchlings' curious questions, and full of imagination to spin the hatchlings their beloved and winding adventurous stories. Emerald actually met her current wife of several years, Orchid, when she was spending time in the nursery raising her daughter, Spiderweb. She looks to Spiderweb as her own daughter these days, and will forever look to Orchid as her other half.
