Vieira and Toil stepped straight out of a dust storm and into the clan.

It was the week before Rockbreaker's, and Earth energy saturated the continent. For Wind clans, that meant dangerous, expansive dust storms. Treacherous conditions for travelling dragons - and for any dragons, for that matter. Most preferred to stay close to home, cozied up in their caves so they wouldn't have to spend hours picking the silt from their scales. The clan, however, made it a policy to keep a small patrol at all times regardless of weather conditions - to stay on the lookout for incoming friend or foe.

Most times it led to nothing, but that day there was something in the twisting currents. Two figures, one standing tall and one hunched against the gale-force winds, were spotted - and two new faces found a home in the Cloudsong.

They clearly came from another clan, but the travelers couldn't recount quite where. Details escaped them, and queries about their clan name or former clanmates only resulted in blank looks. The strange selective amnesia of the Bogsneaks did not extend to their entire pasts - they clearly remembered their roles back home, and with some careful questioning could recount traditions or specific events, but some topics remained untouched - and neither of them seemed distressed about their lack of memory.

Vieira was a leader. She healed, calmed, built ties between her clanmates - whoever they may have been. Her nearly unshakable tranquility facilitates peaceable relations between most anybody, supplemented in no small part by her other abilities. Vieira calms her allies, not just through encouraging words, but through her own unique power. She siphons stress from others with her golden runes, absorbing it into her own being. According to Toil, her body was once entirely a shining, iridescent gold. Her colors have faded from years of taking on others' burdens to bring them brief relief.

Despite all, Vieira is dedicated to her job, committed to doing her duty no matter the cost. She offers kindly advice to those who seek it, and will gladly sit down to a cup of tea to hear your story. Nim has been known to ask her advice, quickly forming a strong bond with the Bogsneak. The two have become fast friends, and may be found on a warm day contentedly chatting at a cave mouth, enjoying the balmy breeze and the sun's lazy rays.
