Biography

GALAXY

Galaxy's wings flapped slowly as she used a heat spiral to raise her hefty weight high up into the air. Slowly, but with great dignity, her body rose further and further aloft. The stars shimmered and offered the sole illumination in a very dark sky. Again she flapped, her immense wings generating a giant lift, boosting her up higher.

Her eyes felt dry as the wind sucked past her, yet she continued her ascent. Upward she moved, her heart beating in large booms like a drum in her chest. She noticed that the air was a little more chill, but this felt good against the heat generated by her exertion. Her wings continued to lift and lift and she flew up higher yet.

She grunted as she steadily climbed higher than she'd ever gone, her breathing grew more difficult and labored as the air thinned around her. Still, she continued to exert herself, pushing her body to reach a height never reached by dragonkind before... On and on she she pushed herself, until her wings ached and burned, longing to rest while her lungs were exploding for want of oxygen.

Finally, she could go no further... her wings simply could not haul her bulk aloft any higher. She took out her telescope and holding it steady as she glided on the weak currents at this tremendous altitude, she spied the galaxy she was looking for. Her eyes sparkled and she murmured a quiet "Aha."*

*Bio by Averdra

Galaxy was born deformed and has always dreamed of flying. She was a slow walker, as one her legs was practially useless. Her dream became a reality when the clan metalworker, Glynoth, designed a mechanical suit and the clan magician, Alcuin, imbued it with runes of flight, water resistance, and strength. Her metallic exoskeleton allows her to function like a normal dragon and Galaxy uses her increased strength in her endless scientific inquiries.

She is extremely curious and wants to know why and how everything does what it does.
