In the darkness of the Foxfire Bramble, the sobs of a young dragon could be heard. Emerging from the underbrush was a female Spiral who carried with her glowing orbs.

"Hush now, child," she whispered to the young dragon. "Be quiet. If they hear you, you will be taken."

The hatchling, Erilee, looked to the Spiral with tears in his eyes. "But I'm so scared, Mama."

With pity in her eyes, his mother huddled close to him and wrapped her body around him. The warmth from her scales chased away the cold that had come from the darkness around them. With this, Erilee silenced his cries. Here, within the comfort of his mother's care, he was safe.

"How about we read a story until your father comes?" she whispered to him. The young Spiral nodded his head vigourously as she took out a small tomb. It was one of his favorites. Since leaving their ruined home, they had read a little of it each night. He yearned for the next night when they would once again read it.

As the two settled in, Erilee found himself growing tired. The moment he started to drift off into sleep, his mother nudged him. Standing in front of them was his father. Unlike his mother, his father was less attractive. But he was strong and protective of his tiny family.

"We need to move," he said as he looked at his son. "Get up, we don't have much time." With a slight push from his mother, he got to his feet and followed after his father. Silently, the three made their way from the darkness to an unknown destination.

From then on, with the fear of being snatched away, Erilee remained quiet. It wasn't in his nature to be silent, for he had so many thoughts that ran through his head and so much vibrant energy flowing through him. But, he was quiet. Silent and meek despite his childlike excitement.

It wasn't long after that he was separated from his family and forced to travel alone. His father had never told him where they were headed but he did constantly mention the sea. He had described the land as graceful, ever changing, and tranquil. He yearned for it and the secrets that it held. In hopes of finding them, Erilee travelled to the Sea of a Thousand Currents.

Days, weeks, even months passed before he finally saw the blue of the grand sea. It was just as his father said. There was more beauty in this one location of the world than there had ever been in his entire life. With silent agreement, he forgot about his family, and decided to fulfill his days in the beauty of the sea.

Erilee is almost entirely mute. He can speak and does very rarely, but remembering the urgings of his mother, he simply learned to live without speech. When he arrived to his true and final home, he was given the library. In charge of so many books, the excitement he had held as a young hatchling once again came forth.

Erilee is reliable and trustworthy. Although some believe he has no personality, he is very gentle and thorough. He also is very strict, especially when it comes to the hatchlings being around his precious books. His favorite pastime is to ride the winds over the sea and relax to the sound of the waves.
