Biography
Thief in Disguise
Redd came to the Heirs of the Zephyr Dweller as journeyman, seeking a bed for a few nights. During his stay, he set up cozy campfires in the evenings and entertained several members with adventurous stories about the various regions of the world. He was friendly and outgoing, and eventually felt so comfortable in the clan that he decided to stay.
That’s the official story of the Pearlcatcher Redd, but that’s probably not even his real name. When he came to the Zephyr Lair he actually was on the run from someone. Redd sees himself as a sort of „Robin Hood“ – robbing the rich and giving it to the poor. He’s a pretty talented thief and was never catched in all his years as such, but one little mistake was enough – he had to vanish for a while. After a few days with the Heirs, Redd realized that the lair was the perfect hiding place, because it was famous in the region and had lots of dragons as guests going in and out. The focus from outsiders was always on stories about the "Heir" - no one would ever really pay attention to a random Pearlcatcher, sitting at a fireplace.
And it was easy for him to get the other members to like him, for he’s not only a regular thief, but also a charming thief of hearts. ;)
The only dragon who was suspicious of Redd was Evangelina. She, who’s watching over the high ranked Iolanthe, is always suspicious of new dragons who can’t give a proper backstory. And „being a journeyman and storyteller“ without ever telling where he would come from or what dragons he met surely wasn’t good enough for Evangelina.
As her questions got a little bit too frequent, Redd had to do something to silence her doubts – so he tried to seduce the proud Skydancer. A lot of effort was necessary, but in the end, he succeeded. Since then , Redd lives a carefree life. But how long will it last until someone else gets suspicious or Evangelina loses her rose-colored glasses? And how long will it be until Redd’s nature calls and he has to go on a raid again?
