Weatherman

As long as he remembers, Bugenhagen was a man of science. In his childhood days he tried everything: defying the laws of physics, mixing substances and calling it „chemistry“, trying to use mathematical formulas for everyday chores (and never getting to actually do those chores in the end),… he was just a curious and bold kid.

After some years the Bogsneak found his greatest passion in meteorology and got quite popular with his weather forecasts – some of his former companions state this was just because he was too impatient, undecided and scatterbrained to become a specialist in a „real“ science.
Speaking of scatterbrained: Bugenhagen originally was on his way to check out the famous Observatory when he came across some members oft he Heirs oft he Zephyr Dweller. Yes, it was in the Reedcleft Ascent. And yes, he was totally lost at this point.

When the gathering experts of the clan heard that Bugenhagen was a reliable weatherman they tried to convince him to help them for a while. Especially Foresting would be a lot easier with knowing about upcoming weather conditions. At first it was just an experiment, but after some good results the Heirs wanted to convince the Bogsneak to stay with the clan. Bugenhagen, who was easily flattered by any praise and apple-polishing, agreed under the conditions that he would a) get a cute female assistant and b) never be called a Weatherman or something simple like that. Meteorologist was his preferred term. Or „professor“.

Sometimes Bugenhagen is driving everyone nuts when he thinks he’s not taken seriously. He can ramble on and on about how important his science is… but since he got his assistant he’s a lot easier to handle AND doesn’t get lost as much as before.
