Several months had passed since Neverwinter had been chosen to go to the Windsinger and the Heirs had lost their caretaker for the hatchlings. Many dragons applied for the position as Nanny and several of them seemed quite fitting, but for some reason every single one of the promising candidates vanished (or rather, never showed up again) before sealing the deal.

One stormy night, a female Bogsneak asked for shelter from the pouring rain. She never explained what she was doing in the Reedcleft Ascent in the middle of the night and didn’t seem to be in a rush – as she took her time on the next day to get in touch with many of the clan members and even the hatchlings.

Needless to say, in the end the Bogsneak named Thekla joined the clan as new Nanny. She’s more strict than Neverwinter and has a little bit more „oldschool“ methods of educating, but she’s still liked and, most of all, respected by the small ones. Only sometimes someone notes a somewhat creepy smile on Thekla’s face when there’s a furious storm at night again.
