Dripping in mystery, it's hard for anyone to figure where she came from. It's a futile attempt to ask anyone about her past, as much as it's pointless to ask her directly. She simply does not divulge her past to others. Perhaps this fact alone is what causes others to distrust her, making accusations that she weaves a web of lies, pretending to know more about the world than anyone else, and that Tuhkat is foolish enough to find vlaue in her words.
It's difficult to pin down her true nature. Some believe she's a witch of sorts, hexing and putting their leader under some hex or spell which granted her position second only to himself. But besides the various and endless supply of rumors, her wealth had existed long before she simply appeared. She has riches and wealth, far beyond what anyone else can comprehend. Maybe she made her fortune with her skills of he trade, or maybe she's a scam.
But no matter what her past or what the truth could be, she holds a very important role; Where her master's imagination lacks, she flourishes. He might be the only one that knows the truth about her. Or he might be under a spell as others believe.
But what is known about herself, is that she never looks anyone in the eyes, or rather, no one is able to look her into the eyes. With a dark cowl her eyes are hidden away, believed to be various different colors depending who you ask. Her past is shrouded in darkness, as most likely is her origins.
But Alanii is a Favored, no matter how the pie is sliced. People can speculate her intent, be evil or good, true or a guise, it doesn't matter. Whatever the rest believe doesn't matter to her. She knows who she is, and what she has truly done for others.
And well, nothing else matters.

Being the mysterious second rank in her clan wasn't easy for Alanii. Her eyes were always covered and no one but Tuhkat, her superior, knew about her true self. The only thing he didn't know was her past. Everyone else made rumors. She secretly hated them, but there was nothing she could do about it. The rumors have made her popular in the clan though.
She is still a very talented dragon though. The others think she's a fraud, but her magical abilities are truly wonderful. If she wanted to, Alanii could end the entire world with a single flick of her tail. She's always been able to predict attacks, storms, and other things that would've ended their clan for good.
No matter what the others think of her, Alanii is a true and kind-hearted dragon. They sometimes forget the countless times she's saved the scales on their backs. When she remembers that, the rumors seem to bother her less than they did before.
