jack’s most defining trait is his optimism. he always tries to see the best of the situation, and the best of dragons. he isn’t shy in the slightest, and loves making conversation— as long as it isn’t boring ol’ small talk! he tries to always be cheerful… but sometimes it’s forced, and you can see the usual glimmer behind his eyes is gone. but most often, he's an imaginative dragon who smiles at everyone he meets. jack claims that he doesn't have any magical abilities, but sometimes lamps seem to light on their own when he's around.

jack's job is a leerie for the clan, and his duty consists of making his rounds every day and night to light the gas lamps. he's made friends with most of the dragons in the clan, and has become sort of a pseudo-leader, who they trust more than their actual one. although he's commonly seen talking with alexander and cassian, it's unclear whether he knows what's really going on in the clan of stardust...
