Calliope is a powerful mage with a knack for astronomy. She was able to enchant her eyes so that she can see through the atmosphere, giving her a better view of whatever she is studying at the time. Selene was so impressed with her ability, that she made her the court astronomer. Since Calliope could not feel at home in the Arcanist's Observatory, she is very grateful for Selene granting her the ability to study to her heart's content. While Calliope acts mature and graceful when working, she is clumsy and social awkward when off duty. Her sudden rise to power has made her an enemy of other dragons in the court. The only reason they don't try to impede her research is because she is very close with Nyx. The two can often be found in the library researching or simply reading side by side.
