Biography
- formerly a slightly haphazard but well-meaning intern of SIDERALIS's hidden fourth division, tasked with working through calculations for an experimental reactor relying on the interaction between different magical signatures
- was known for being particularly prone to error - crashing into a colleague, entering the wrong room, etc, laughing it off each time. one day he stumbled too far.
- slipped over the edge of an observation deck and into the path of the machinery; the resulting explosion, caused by the unexpected addition of a dragon's magical signature, reduced the room to rubble after a hasty evacuation of the other employees.
- yet when a crew was sent the next day to clear the debris, the room was standing just as it had been built, with the exception of a missing reactor - and what appeared to be a bright, dragon-shaped supernova at its center. the first thing it did was wave at them with a grin, as it nudged a last fallen tile back into place.
- the incident has left him in a strange sort of form, intangible and translucent yet able to shape the world as he wishes with a wide array of different magics; with no apparent physical body to limit such energy, he is able of harnessing immense amounts of power at once. unfortunately for his team's endeavors, it is much too unstable to use as a power supply, responding primarily to his whims and to protect him from perceived danger.
- as far as he's concerned, this is just par for the course given his long list of mishaps. having no particular desire to leave and gain any further attention, he remains within the company's campus, spooking newcomers by drifting through walls and aiding with research efforts when he can.
- high concentrations of magic are unstable, sentient beings included. he's well aware of the fact. part of the reason he's perfectly willing to stay down here for what could be the rest of his life is the trust he puts in his colleagues - who better to rely on when things inevitably go wrong?
