Quintessence

Quin

A Wildclaw born from a Queen of the Night flower, who struggles to find his place in a world that seeks him at every turn. Minutes after being born in the Everbloom Gardens, a forest fire chased Quin from his birthplace and sent him into hiding with other Nature inhabitants, including Timneh, a Noc who chose the same shelter and quickly befriended Quin.

The only knowledge Quin began life with was the word that a figure in the flames roared to his fleeing tail: "Quintessence." Taking it as a name, and picking a name for his partner as well, Quin set off trying to understand how he was born and why he was pursued, all the while on the run from the trio that chase him with smoke and blazes.

It's not just these feared arsonists who seek Quin, however. Understanding that he was imparted with a gift by the flower that birthed him, he realizes that both foes and allies alike seek him for their own selfish or greater gain.

His task is to find shelter long enough to discover the place intended for him in the world...and then, to decide if he should follow where he is led, or if he should dash his fates on the rocks and strive in a new direction.
