______ Travelling away from his home flight was a big change for Meteor. It was just the other night that the stars aligned and told him to return to the birthplace of his father’s bloodline: Arcane. Yet despite all of the begging not to be sent out into an unfamiliar world, Meteor was ultimately forced to leave, and explore the truth behind his family line. He landed on his grandparents’ doorstep and was surprised to find that he looked nothing like her, but instead favored the colors of her neighbors: the Midnight-Dreamers. Meteor was hesitantly accepted into both families, for no one knew what kind of magic this dragonet brought from plague...
______ For weeks, Meteor studied alongside the best astronomers known to dragonkind. Most, if not all of his time, was spent mapping the meteors and comets. One night in particular, Meteor was visited by Borealis, the Shadow rep who stated he’d come bearing a gift for the young mage. The pearlcatcher’s scarlet eyes widened when Borealis presented him with a black chest encrusted in violet filgree. Meteor opened it, revealing a glistening pearl bathing in starlight. It was as the cosmos foretold.., the inheritance Meteor was destined for: the Eye of Auras...
