She is beautiful, with scales as white as snow and eyes as shimmering and pink as chalcedony. She is kind and motherly, and is a source of nurturing for many a young dragon. She is Snowshine, Justiciar’s beloved mate. Once, she had lived only with Justiciar as he toiled endlessly on an electricity farm. Now, she lives a life of comfort in the Clan of the Striking Bolt, surrounded by her friends and her children.
And she has welcomed the change in her life with open wings. Snowshine is a social butterfly who loves spending time with other dragons, and being constantly surrounded by other dragons has brought her no end of joy. Her best friend is Shimmer, and the two love being by each other’s sides, sharing gossip and secrets. She dotes on every hatchling in the clan, but especially her own, and her children are often seen ducking with embarrassment as she teases them about their hatchlinghood and scolds them about polishing their scales.
Yes, Snowshine loves the new life she and Justiciar have built. Through thick and thin, rain and shine, she’s happy knowing her family will be together forever. Never mind Cadfael’s conspiracies and schemes, or her mate’s slipping sense of stability, or Serezha’s futile attempts to gain her clanmates’ respect, or Stelt’s despair at having his dreams crushed and his pain while suffering through his disability, or Esequiel and Threve’s torn remains of sisterhood…Yes, everything is happy in Snowshine’s life. Everything is just fine, as long as she can take it with a smile.
