Killian Daredevil | Egotistical | Suave | Quick Witted Though Killian has the Night Warrior blood flowing through his veins, he has little interest in the aspect of actually becoming one himself. The very idea of it appeared very unsatisfying to the young Nocturne so he decided that such a life was not for him. He departed from his nest after he conveyed these feelings to his mother. So now, instead of walking the path of a warrior, Killian walks the path of a thief. The Nocturne refers to himself as a "Landlocked Pirate" as he finds the terms thief and rogue are far overused and wishes to add something new to the swindling arts. He finds great pride in his work, swooping in on unsuspecting dragons travelling throughout Sornieth and taking their valuables. He had a lovely base deep in the Carrion Canyon where he stored his loot. He loves anything silver as silver has a certain sparkle to it that gold, brass, copper, iron, or steel just doesn't have. He had even started a small crew; nothing fancy, just some dragons he would call upon should he acquire information on a big job. He had become respectable in his field. Sure, Killian would toss around his supposed "Night Warrior" status to garner some fear, but it was respect that got him where he was...until his cousins came for him. He had just been coming back from a rather lucrative heist, his bags jiggling with new jewels, treasure, and silver; he had been taking his time flying back to the hideout, gliding through the air when a coatl appeared on his right and a nocturne to his left. At a single glance Killian knew who exactly they were: Night Warriors. He instantly picked up speed in an attempt to evade them. But he hadn't been nearly fast enough; the other nocturne flew out ahead of him and hovered in front of him. He stretched out his wings and beat them in reverse to keep himself from crashing into his cousin then shot up toward the sky. His coatl cousin had already beat him to it and grabbed him where his wings met his shoulder blades. After a few more minutes of resisting and struggling to get free, his nocturne cousin slapped a pair of shackles on him and the two physically dragged him to a placed called CrestHaven. There, he learned that the two, Aria and Thesus, knew exactly who he was. They had been contacted by the family back home about Killian and were asked to seek him out. While the family did not care what he did with his life, using the Night Warrior name as he had been has been seen as a sacrilege against the family. Aria and Thesus had been tasked to set this matter straight. After meeting Killian though, Thesus decided that a simple talking to wasn't going to cut it. So after a little magic from Niaka and Celica, Killian's cuff had been enchanted so now he can't leave CrestHaven's territory. Now, Killian is being forced to become a registered Night Warrior within the family to learn "the error of his ways" and become "a respectable member of the family". In reality, Killian hides from his two cousins to avoid the schooling and trainers. Having had months of experience in hiding from those that wished to capture him for his pilfering ways, he is quite good at it. He probably wouldn't be caught as often if it wasn't for one small flaw in his plans: Harlequin. Killian has been trying to convince the spiral to undo the magic on his cuff so he can go back to his life of freedom. |
