Forest was born with a coat reminiscent of a Mire. Her proud wings looked like towering trees, her torso a shade of fresh grass. Later in life ForestSinger met who would one day be her partner, Moonbeam. He had a coat plain as the Sky. She was out of his league- by a long shot- but Forest didn't care- she loved Moon for how he was- and Moon was smitten with her.

Years pass and seasons change. After having their first clutch of eggs, Moonbeam and ForestSinger realized just how much joy they took in taking care of hatchlings. Moonbeam snuck out and obtained three abandoned hatchlings- OpalFeather, ThunderPearl, and InkMoon. Two of the three eventually left on their own journeys, but OpalFeather stayed behind. Other dragons coming and going, it was observed that out of the adopted dragons, several wanted to stay. And so Moonbeam decided (well mostly decided) it was time to officially make Forest, Opal, the group of remaining dragons, and himself into a clan. (With the permission of Forest of course! She's the one who makes all the big decisions around here).

The Clan of The North Star now dedicates itself to giving outcast dragons a place to stay, even if only for the night.
